Using a scrap textile made by overlapping and sewing leftover pieces of fabric together,  the alterations and patches I  use on secondhand clothes are enhanced with a versatile and unique pattern.  The scrap textile was made as a part of my thesis presentation "S.C.R.A.P.," which can be viewed by clicking the button below:

Custom Clothing Commissions
Taking on custom clothing commissions allows me to extend this practice directly into other closets. The transformations of the garment enhance its value and wearability, connecting it to the personality of its wearer while being intrinsically tied to my work, the hand touch, and craft. Through the process of custom clothing commissions, I am able to connect with the client on a meaningful level in order to develop a visual concept that is related to their personhood.  I consider these clothes as canvas, as moving art, and as sustainability-oriented practice, as most if not all, of the work is made with secondhand or owned garments.
